  • Easily movable.
  • Can be easily placed above the cutting site.

  • Ideal for cutting glass, mirrors, plexiglass (cutting scratched).
  • Flexible and rigid boards can also be cut this way.

disadvantages:

  • The ruler must be clamped down by hand.
  • A cutting pad must be placed under the sheet to be cut (except for scratching).
  • Without fixation, the accuracy and strength of the cut will be less.

Unfastened at the edge of the workbench

You can press the cutting ruler to the table by hand without fixing it and use the blade to cut the material along the edge of the workbench.

advantage:

  • You don't need a cutting pad.

disadvantages:

  • Only rigid panels can be cut this way.
  • It is difficult to adjust the unfixed ruler to the edge of the desk.
  • The ruler may move during a multi-course cutting.
